After the loss of his arm, Dr. Connors took a serum that turned him into the Lizard. As the Lizard, he was an unwilling member of the Sinister Six. First encounter with Spider-Man. Seeking refuge in the sewers, he became an urban legend, dubbed "The Lizard" by the press. A sympathetic Spider-Man sought out Conners who attacked the young hero until the Man-Thing happened upon the scene and restored Conners to human form. [1].

The fifth episodes from the fourth season of Ultimate Spider-Man is called "Lizards" and definitely lives up to its title! The premise: Doc Connors turns into the lizard again, but this time his bite is infectious, so there are five lizard transformations shown in this episode! Connors was working on his work, until someone destroys Connors' anti-Lizard serum does, and injects the doctor with Doc Ock's modified Lizard serum into Lizard again, in addition of being able to infect people with a single bite, turning his victims into.

This comic introduced many of what would become his major supervillain adversaries.
